§ 7-4-840. Vicious animal and dangerous dog violations.
Any person found guilty of keeping or maintaining a wild animal, dangerous animal or vicious animal, as defined in Section 7-4-10 above, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and:
(1)
Shall be fined not less than two hundred dollars ($200.00) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); and
(2)
Shall be ordered to remove such animal from the Town within twenty-four (24) hours of such order, or within twenty-four (24) hours after the end of any required rabies observation period. Refusal to comply with this order may result in impoundment and disposal of the animal; and
(3)
In addition to or in lieu of the foregoing, may be sentenced to up to ninety (90) days in jail. (Ord. 20-1998 §9.10.02; Ord. 18-2004 §1; Ord. 11-2007 §1)
