§ 6-6-60. Surrender of stolen or illegally obtained goods.

Any secondhand dealer who has accepted, obtained or bought any personal property or merchandise, either new or secondhand, from any person, not knowing the same to have been stolen or illegally obtained, shall deliver the same into the hands of the lawful owner when said owner has made a reasonably accurate and certain identification by means of number, description or otherwise, in the presence of the investigating law enforcement officer.
