§ 6-1-170. Renewals.

  • Any licensee may make application for a new license for the succeeding year and pay the required fee therefore, on or before the expiration date of any license issued to the licensee for the current year Whenever any application and license fee payment therefore is not received on or before February 1 st for the current year, and the licensee continues to engage in business or activity for which the license was issued, a penalty of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the license fee shall be imposed and collected and an additional five percent (5%) of the original fee shall be added on the last day of each calendar month after the expiration date. In addition to the above penalty provision, it is unlawful for a licensee to continue to engage in any business or activity after his or her license therefore has expired. (Prior code 6.01.17)
