§ 2-4-70. Municipal Court Clerk.

  • (a)

    The Board of Trustees shall establish the position of and appoint at the same time as the Municipal Judge's appointment, a Municipal Court Clerk, except that the Municipal Judge shall serve as ex officio Municipal Court Clerk in the Municipal Court Clerk's absence or if the business of the Court is insufficient to warrant a separate full-time or part-time Municipal Court Clerk.

    (b)

    The Municipal Court Clerk shall be appointed by the presiding Municipal Judge and shall have such duties as are delegated by law, court rule or the presiding Municipal Judge.

    (c)

    The Board of Trustees shall provide for the salary of the Municipal Court Clerk in the same manner as specified in Section 2-4-50 above; except that if the Municipal Judge serves as ex officio Clerk, no additional compensation shall be paid. (Prior code 5.01.06; Ord. 11-2007 §1)
