§ 2-2-90. Boards and commissions.

  • Consistent with this Code, the Board of Trustees has created such boards and commissions as may now exist, and may create additional boards and commissions in the future. The Board of Trustees shall serve as the governing body, may appoint members to or, if so authorized, the Mayor (with such approval of the Board of Trustees as may be required by this Code) shall create and appoint members to such boards and commissions as may now or hereafter exist, including, but not limited to, the following:

    (1)

    Wellington Board of Adjustment;

    (2)

    Wellington Community Activities Commission;

    (3)

    Wellington Housing Authority;

    (4)

    Wellington Library Board;

    (5)

    Wellington Liquor Licensing Authority;

    (6)

    Wellington Planning Commission;

    (7)

    Wellington Sewer Enterprise Board; and

    (8)

    Wellington Water Enterprise Board.

    Various boards of the Town, created by this Code or otherwise, have members which serve by virtue of being a Board of Trustees member; any member of the Board of Trustees serving on another board of the Town shall be deemed to resign from such board on the termination of such member's tenure on the Board of Trustees; such resignation by virtue of the Board of Trustees member's tenure ending shall not preclude the outgoing member's reappointment to the board.
